A Month Ago I Stepped On A Hitchhiker. I Removed

A month ago I stepped on a hitchhiker. I removed the splinter(thorn) but I think a tiny tip of it remained deep in my foot. I tried to dig it out. I made quite a big hole in my foot but found nothing. I was bleeding and I coudnt see anything. I soaked it and used store bought splinter remowal cream. Nothing came out. Eventually wound closed up and healed but month later I am still hurting. The area is tender. It particularly hurtu when the pressure is applied. What do i do?
