A Week Ago Tuesday While Leaning Over The Back Of

A week ago Tuesday while leaning over the back of our sofa to retrieve a telephone jack adaptor from the wall jack I heard a pop on my left side. It didn't get sore until 2 days later and has been very bothersome ever since. Currently it is extremely sore. Any idea what might have happened? Could I possibly cracked a rib?
