Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A week and a half ago I strained a muscle in my forearm about 2" above the wrist carrying something quite heavy. I twisted my forearm as I set it down. Instead of getting better with time it has gradually grown worse. I've used ice... then ice/heat and now finally heat to treat it along with ibuprofen. Heat helps and wrapping loosely keeps me aware of the injury so I don't over use the arm. But, when I flex my wrist I get a crackle sound like plastic wrap along the top and inside of my forearm and, as I said it seems to just get worse and is easily 're-injured' by something as simple as using that arm/hand to open the refrigerator door.
