AFter Wearing A 30 Day Heart Monitor My Cardiologist Said

AFter wearing a 30 day heart monitor my cardiologist said my heart stopped during the day and night, repeatedly. How did it re-start without medical intervention, glad it did, but I have a very slow rate and didn't he mean he just really slowed down and went back up? I am getting a stress test soon but I thought he might have prescribed a 'life vest' or a defibrillator.
