Aa Sharp Burning Pain On The Inside Of My Left

Aa sharp burning pain on the inside of my left arm woke me up last night. It felt like a blood vessel had burst which I have had on a smaller scale. The feeling,dated for quite a while then subsided but left a blue area, long and thin like a vein, from my inside wrist to the inside of my elbow. Can you tell me if it can be related to cardiac problems. I had a T I A in January.
