Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 6 or 7 weeks ago I had a sexual encounter that was unprotected. I am wondering what my chances are of having HIV...
It was a 3 way and my female friend had a rash but said it was due to her chemo, I later found out she has been lying to everyone about even getting chemo so IDK what this rash was. Her and I kissed and she gave me oral sex and fingered me and I later realized she had a scab on her finger. I gave oral sex to our guy friend who was with us after he already ejaculated. I did not have sexual intercourse with him nor did I preform oral sex on her.
I now have itchy spots on my neck and chest, headaches and neck pain. I went and got tested yesterday but I have been stressing over the fact of having HIV for weeks now. My boyfriend also now has a rash on his stomach and back that is flat red spots but doesn't itch or bother him. We don't have fevers, diarrhea or any other symptoms. I'm a breastfeeding mom so I am worried about my baby getting HIV from me.
Was I at high risk for exposure? Would we have fever with the rash? If the test comes back negative should I test again in 4-5 weeks? Can my baby get HIV from breastmilk?
Sorry for all the questions. I haven't been sleeping much and am so worried.
