About A Day Ago I Smashed My Finger In My

About a day ago I smashed my finger in my car door its still swollen after I've iced it several times. I've seen DIY remedies on YouTube of removing the blood clots under your finger nail to relieve the pain using a hot paper clip pressing it against the nail. Is it safe for me to try this at home or should I see a doctor ?Also I've came across something greenish looking on my cuticle .
