About A Week Ago, I Got Tripped Up Doing Box

About a week ago, I got tripped up doing box jumps and I landed on the edge of the wooden box with my shins. One has a small lump with a cut down the middle and the other has a rather large lump with a cut down the middle. The large lump is the one that is painful. This has become more painful over time, and it tends to hurt worse during and after brief icing. There is minimal bruising at the sights of the cuts, however today I noticed some bruising just below my ankles on both sides of my feet. I was able to walk fine until today when I started limping from the pain. Could there be an infection or something serious going on here?
