About A Week Ago My Neck Started To Get Really

About a week ago my neck started to get really sore around the lymph node area and I noticed the node was enlarged. I had no other symptoms. I went to the doctor on Monday, the 23rd. He seemed concerned, prescribed me an antibiotic and scheduled me for an ultra sound. The ultra sound isn't until Wednesday, the 1st. Now I notice I have brown spots on the back of my throat. I should also note I no longer have my tonsils. I am just really concerned and waiting for testing is driving me crazy.
