About A Year Ago I Started Getting What I Thought

About a year ago I started getting what I thought were insect bites on my inner thighs. But they were itchier than mosquito bites & lasted longer. I was getting them every few months. Now I've been getting them every week, always in the same region. They hurt A LOT if I scratch. Topical anti-biotics and anti-itch creams don't work. GP doesn't know what it is. I'm a female, 55 y.o. and I live in SW Florida. Any ideas?
