About Four Years Ago I Had The Essure Coils Placed

About four years ago I had the essure coils placed inside of me as permanent birth control. Since then my period has gotten progressively more and more painful. Some days it is so bad I am so grateful I have a sitdown job otherwise I would probably fall over from pain. The coils feel like they are constantly trying to claw their way out of me. My period is extremely heavy with tremendously large clots. I am not sure if I should go to the doctor or what I need to do about this.
