About One Week Ago Or So, I Blew My Nose

About one week ago or so, I blew my nose and there appeared to be a short, thin brown thing in the tissue. I figured it was some kind of grass or something and disregarded it. Now, for the past four days I have experienced basically non-stop loose stools and today saw what appeared to be two thin string like things on the toilet paper. They appeared to be brown and about half an inch long. They too appeared almost like blades of grass. I am extremely concerned that they were some type of worm. If I go to a hospital can they do the necessary tests in the emergency room to figure out if it is a parasite of some kind? Could it be worms?! Do I need to seek immediate treatment?
