About two or three weeks ago I was picking at my lips and kind of rubbed them raw chapped and they were on the corners of my mouth (did not hurt, itch, blister, ooze, there were not many blister formations, just very chapped because I kept messing with them but honestly nothing coldsore-like).
Then I went to the doctor for a check up and asked if it was a cold sore (even though I have not been in contact with anyone with coldsores, etc) and my doctor said "probably". Well, they ran a blood test and I am negative for HSV 1 and HSV 2 but the doctor still says the might have been a cold sore?? But if I'm negative for HSV 1 and 2 how does that make any sense at all??
