After 10 Years Of Taking 75g Venlaflaxine I Recently ,

After 10 years of taking 75g venlaflaxine I recently , in attempt to come off the tablets, reduced the dose to 37.5 alternating with 75 the next day. After 2 weeks I realised my anxiety was returning so I went back to 75 every night. I am now having side effects of a bitter/metallic taste in my mouth. I would like to know if this is a temporary blip due to me reducing then increasing or if I'm having a reaction and need to change to a different one , thanks
