After cauterization, assuming it was done quickly at high temperatures to already pierced hands without infection, how probable is swelling and white blood cell flooding to the affected area. I'm studying stigmata reports in history and trying to validate some less than reputed sources and some that never gave diagnosis despite being practiced medical professionals.
