After Chemo Therapy My Son's Immune System Numbers Have Gone

After chemo therapy my son's immune system numbers have gone to zero. His outside family was told that he in not to have any visitors under any circumstances even with mask and gowns. This did not come directly from his doctor. Are extra precautions we can take? I just want to see my son.
