After Weeks Of Really Serious Coughing With Bronchitis, My Occasional

After weeks of really serious coughing with bronchitis, my occasional .5 Xanax use turned into 3x .5 daily as my throat swelled and eating became difficult. Went to ENT and had throat scope and he diagnosed me with dysphagia. I'm a singer and my vocal chords are REALLY damaged from the coughing. ENT said it's just going to take time to heal. In the meantime....I've got myself addicted to Xanax. Had to go to emergency room I was so panicked the other night. During all this, my pcp dropped us! New doctor last Friday put me on Buspirone 5 mg 2x daily in addition to the Xanax I'm taking with the idea of starting the weaning off Xanax after a month on Buspirone...probably increasing the dose of that as I decrease the Xanax. But I am feeling really nauseous and my throat feels tighter taking the Buspirone...where my throat had been feeling better. Is there ANY good way to taper Xanax without having to take ANOTHER drug?
