I'm on levoxyl 50mcg per day. My thyroid is not low just not optimal. I have been taking it for 14 months. I gained 30 pounds in 4 months after I started to take it and the scale keeps climbing even though I am exercising more. I want to just quit taking it. Is that safe? I'm 47 and weigh 260 now. When I started the drug I was 230 and wanted to lose weight.
