Am I Protected From Pregnancy After Taking Contraceptive Pills?

I have been taking Microgynon 30 since the middle of November, but I recently stopped using the pill as a result of a fight with my boyfriend. On stopping the pill, I had a period. Me and my boyfriend have since reconciled, if I start using the pill again today will I be effectively protected from pregnancy or will I have to wait a few days?
