Approximately 2 Weeks Ago I Received A Dog Bite On

Approximately 2 weeks ago I received a dog bite on my calf. I was wearing jeans at the time so the skin just had minimal scrapes, however the bruise became very large & very dark purple. It's 6 inches in diameter. It didn't hurt that much at the time. Now I've noticed the area in between the teeth marks is sore & lumpy feeling. What do I do to make my leg smooth again? Is this scar tissue even though the skin was not really damaged & didn't require any medical care? I washed the wound immediate after the bite even though I was wearing jeans & they were not torn.
