Are Acyclovir And Prednisone Effective In Treatment Of Bells Palsy?

my husband is on chemo..has just developed bells palsy...doctor gave him rx for prednisone 10mg ...6 tabs. daily for 5 days then 5..4..3..2 ..1 daily also acyclovir 400mg 1 tab. 5 x daily for 10 days....is this usual
treatment? also is this safe while on chemo? can't get ahold of our cancer dr...he just had chemo treatment
last wed...we had to go to emergency to see dr....at first thought was a stroke...
