Are Black Spots Normal After Laser Therapy For Sunburn?

on 03/20/15 I had laser to remove sun spots on my legs, arms and chest. the doctor aid it will take about one week for me to see results. my skin looks like cigarette burns all over . is this normal ? I have a wedding in April and I feel these burns are going to stay for months. what do you recommend
