Are Frequent, Smelly Burps In A Newborn Having Jaundice A Cause For Concern?

Hi my 5 day old was born with jaundice we left the hospital and his dr told me to just feed him (I m exclusively breastfeeding) frequently to get rid of it. Well today he started burping a lot and it smells like sulfur burps( rotten eggs). Is it from the jaundice or something I m eating.
