Are Generic Brands Of Synthroid Safe To Take?

Hi my insurance co. is no longer covering my prescription synthroid and I m concerned about taking the generic brand. I started on a generic when I was first diagnosed with thyroid problems and it never seemed to help. I thought there wasn t suppose to be a difference between brand name and its generic medicine. What do you suggest? Thank you.
