Are Irregular Periods Normal While On Birth Control Pills?

Hello , I just recently been taking MICROGESTIN FE 1/20 TAB ACTA in Nov sometime I only had my period once since ive been on the pill and in Dec i spotted some it is now JAN about to be FEB in two weeks is this normal when your own BC? Help anyone please
