Are Loss Of Memory And Muscle Strength In Legs Symptoms Of Bone Cancer In Brain Stem?

My 84 year old mother in law has bone cancer . We have stopped chemo and recent mri results show now to be thru out her spine and neck - going into brain stem. She has started recently to have severe memory problems and loosing muscle strength in her legs - I wanted to ask if this is normal symtoms.
