Are Medicines Always Required For Cysts?

I am 43 years old unmarried woman. I have been diagonised with left ovary cyst (functional) of size 4.5x3.7 cm during Feb 2010. After 6 months, 2 cysts of size 3.3x3.5 and 2.0x1.9 cm were seen. NACFIL Tablet and Eve care tonic were prescribed by the doctor. After a month, one cyst disappeared and the size of another cyst was 3.4x3.3 cm. In september the size got reduced to 1.7x1.5 cm. Now. the Doctor has prescribed NACFIL, AZITHROMYCIN AND CIP.TINI.
Query : On consultation with a doctor, informed that no medicine is required for this type of cyst and suggested two months observation. Please clarify whether medicines prescribed in September relate to the treatment to the functional cyst
