Are Normal Periods Expected Post Completing The Contraceptive Pills?

Im 33 years old having a 1 year old son. Im using a condom as a prevention measure through i know it is not 100% effective.During the night the condom broke and in the morning i went to the health facility.I was given oralcon to drink, 4 tablets after every 4 hours until the pack finish.I had side effects like vomiting when i reached the last brownish pills.My expectation was to receive my periods when i finished the pack.Do i real have to receive my periods?
