Are Protruding Staples After Ectopic Pregnancy Surgery Normal?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? I have recently had surgery for ectopic pregnancy, the doctor put staples inside the wound, nothing outside, they staples are protruding out of my skin, is this normal? They have been in for about a month.
