Are Rashes A Side Effect Of Penicillin Injection?

I have had a chest infection since 20th of Dec, 1 week of pencillin ans still coughing. The first day of pencillin I got red rashes on my chest, which disappered, but now a few days after finished course I woke up with rashes on both legs mostly on the knees, is it part of the infection?
