Are Scars Caused By Erythema Nodosum Permanent?

I was diagnosed with erythema nodosum most likely caused by my final hepB shot. These nodules appeared days after the shot on April 4. Everything I've read says the nodules leave no scars. However, it is now 8 weeks later and my legs look like large bruised dots and darkened areas as big as 11/2 inches wide and up to 4 inches long. Will this completely disappear or is this how my legs will look from here on?
