Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Anxiety And Pain Medications Simultaneously?

I am a 55yr old female with DDD, sciatica, and severe anxiety disorder. I am prescribed 10mg hydrocodone and 2mg zanax a day. Recentley my doctor took away my anxiety meds, just all of a sudden says its too dangerous to take with pain meds. can u tell me why?
