At Random Times And Without Warning, I Experience Excrutiating Spasms

At random times and without warning, I experience excrutiating spasms of some kind centered in my arm pit and radiating down my rib cage and inner arm...it happens on both sides but not at the same time. This has been ongoing for over a year and my doctor can offer no explanation.
