Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At some point in time I was given a sliding scale paper to use for r insulin. On my last trip to my doctor she about had a heart attack when I said I took 28 units because my numbers were in the high 300s. I had no adverse reaction. She said the sliding scale they use you would never use more than 16 units???
I have been type two diabetic about 40 years. The first ten years I was on pills. Then I had to go on insulin.
Recently having a terrible time with my numbers. The Doc did take me off 70/30, thank goodness and I am slowly building my dosage for Toujeo SoloStar insulin. Meantime I need the r to keep my numbers down.
