Been Diagnosed With Copd And I Have A Chronic Cough

Been diagnosed with copd and i have a chronic cough so bad that i cough up blood however the doctors i go to dont seem to be to concerned about this should i be worried or could there be something they are missing my major question is is this normal in a person with copd
