Been Out Of Driving School Bus For 5 Months Due

Been out of driving school bus for 5 months due to 3 partial tears in rotator cuff. have had 2 steroid injections. Dr says tears were not bad enough for surgery because they are all more like frays. He said time will heal it. It's feeling much better, but have been having what feels like an electrical shock in the front of the shoulder where 1 of the tears is. What is the shock? When it hits it just freezes me in whatever position I'm in and a few choice words come out.
