Been Taking Clonidine HCl For Over 6 Years For BP

Been taking clonidine HCl for over 6 years for BP and now having rebound hypertension and withdrawals from it as well as other side effects.Last BP reading was 188 over 122 and that's very dangerous with my health problems.I get it from the VA and I'm 69 years old and now can't get my BP under control even with other BP meds,very sacred and need to know how to get off it and get my BP back under control.The doctors at the VA aren't having any luck and I'm thinking I could die if they cant get me off it and my BP under control,please help,thanks.
