Between the two following, what is the most effective way to taper off omeprazole 40mg (3 years )
40 mg omeprazole every other day with 20 mg omeprazole and an carafate before bed or
40 mg of pepcid twice daily with carafate before bed?
Nerd is the diagnosis and late night relux is the issue. I elevate the head of my bed, closely watch my diet, and wait at least 3 hours after eating to go to bed. I feel the 40 mg of omeprazole can be reduced or eliminated.
