Black Capillaries On And Around Lower Leg/ankle. Itchy So I

Black capillaries on and around lower leg/ankle. Itchy so I scratch quite a bit. A very black dot burst and squirted blood like a kid's squirt gun when I scratched to hard. It was strange! Took elevating leg, direct pressure, then gauze and tape wrap to stop the mini gusher. This was a week ago. A tiny scab is now there; I use medicated anti-itch cream, avoid scratching. I am a healthy 65-year-old teacher. What caused this spurting capillary and what about the increasing visibility of them on my right leg? Thanks. Patricia L. Arroyo
