Bowel Problems? Whenever I Go To The Bathroom There's This

Bowel problems? Whenever I go to the bathroom there's this buildup of gas in my intestine/groin region which makes it pretty painful to go to the bathroom. Whenever I actually try to get anything out, I just sit there and well, pass a bunch of gas instead of actually pooping. Is this normal? I'm a 15 year old female.
