Broke Tibia And Fibula At Right Ankle Ten Plus Years

Broke tibia and fibula at right ankle ten plus years ago. Screws and plate to fix. Still very painful walking, throwing extra pressure on left hip and muscle. Can any treatment be advised as allergic reaction to aspirin and non steroidal anti inflamitories (causes lip facial and throat swelling requiring hospital treatment)
