Can Antipyrine And Benzocaine Be Used For Ear Pain?

I m just getting over a very bad cold and I feel an earache coming on. My daughter has some ear drops from when she had an ear infection ( antipyrine and benzocaine) but they are about a year old. Can I use this for the pain I m having or is it considered expired?
