Can BC Pill Cause Blood Clots And Pain In Legs?

I've been on yasmin birth control for 8 years and ocella for the past year just decided two weeks ago to get off. My legs hurt all the time and I"m worried about blood clots. I have no redness or swelling, but they always bother me. Can these present without other clinical symptoms?? Is it bad to ask my doctor to do a d-dimer lab test?? Thanks!
