Can BP Medication Cause Flat, Red Blotches On Chest And Stomach?

My husband noticed flat, red, blotches on his chest and stomach this morning. He asked me what it may be. I thoroughly inspected his his skin. Its also on his back and under his arms, no where else. He says there is no itching, tingling or burning. He recently started a new blood pressure medication. Christmas tree rash?
