Can Betadine Be Applied On The Penis?

Can i apply betadine on penis? since i have lession an d my doctor already gave me clonea ointment but it didn't work. i also tried fucidin. and it didn't work as well. i also already tested for syphillis and herpes and both are negative. i'm 38 years old, male. weight 59 kg and HIV positive. i'm taking atripla now for 4 months. My cd4 count is 439 ( 23%) and Viral load 93. Thank you
