Can Betnesol Be Taken For Throat Pain And Cough?

hello.. i have throat infection for past 5 days i took erythromycin the 1st day... then i used roxithromycin 150 mg for past 3 days... one of my friend whos a pharmacist suggested me to take betnesol along with roxithromycin so i took it.. still i have throat pain and little cough without sputum.. is it ok to take betnesol?
