Can Biotin Be Taken For Hair Growth?

I am a 65 year old female. My daily medications consists of Quinipril-Hzt 20/12.5, low dose aspirin 81mg, Ibupropen 800mg when I have arthritis pain, and a multiviamin. I want to take Biotin. it is recommended for hair growth. Can I safely incorporate the Biotin 3000mg tablet?
