Can Buspar Be Used As A Substitute Of Ciprilix?

I have mild anxiety symtoms, I was having I think mini panic attacks last spring, and a bit before. My GP put me on Ava pro for BP as I was showing 150/110. I am stable in the 125/85 range on BP. I had bad anxiety when BP was high. My GP then added Ciprilix, it caused worse anxiety and several other bad side effects. My wife gave me Lorasepam, which I take in small amounts, but works well. Since it has been 6months I want to stop it. I read buspar has low side effects and is good foe general anxiety. What would you recommend?
