Can CT Scan Be Done While Having Period?

Im due to have a ct scan tomorrow as im haveing my womb and ovaries removed due to an abdominal mass which is thought to be a fibroid . . My period isnt due for 6 more days but i think they are comeing early. Is it safe to do the scan if they are here in the morning. I have to drink a contrast dye in the morning
