Can Cold And Flu Tablet Be Taken For Blocked Nose?

About an hour ago I took a Brufen 400mg tablet (ibuprofen) that was prescribed by my doctor. I was given this medication for soreness I had in my throat and muscle aches. Actually I thought my tonsils were inflamed as that area of my throat were sore.
I am now trying to go to sleep and Im finding it difficult because I cant breath (mu nose is blocked) and Im finding it hard to swallow. I was thinking about taking a cold and flu tablet.
Is that wise?
